OUTLINE

The Amami Archipelago is the only place in all of Japan to produce kokuto shochu: the native spirit of the Amami Islands. Unique, rare, and full of character, come and discover this special drink made nowhere else in the world. On this tour, you will visit up to 4 distilleries and learn about their interesting production techniques, history, and of course, try the good stuff in the bottle. You will also get the opportunity to purchase the product or other souvenirs along the way. Lunch is served at a delicious Japanese restaurant before the tasting.

Children under the age of 16 get 50% off when booking with two adults or more. Under Japanese law, persons under the age of 2o cannot participate in any alcohol tasting. At least one adult over the age of 20 must accompany persons under the age of 16. ID required for confirmation. 

 

DON'T FORGET

Tour incorporates a fair bit of standing, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Be prepared for cold, wet, or hot weather conditions. Have appropriate seasonal clothing and accessories on hand. Don't forget your camera, wallet, and ID for proof of age (over 20 years of age if tasting alcohol).

Tour includes consumption of alcohol which should be consumed in moderation.
